Bodegas Carpe Diem celebrates success at the sixth edition of the Frankfurt International Trophy

Bodegas Carpe Diem celebra el éxito cosechado en la sexta edición del Frankfurt International Trophy

Carpe Diem Trasañejo and Gadea Tinto Roble have won the gold medal, while Montespejo white wine won silver

Las Bodegas Carpe Diem from the Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza Agrícola Virgen de la Oliva SCAAVO are once again celebrating after getting magnificent results at the latest edition of the Frankfurt International Trophy, where they won two gold and one silver medals.

Specifically, the gold medals were for the Carpe Diem Trasañejo and Gadea Tinto Roble wines, while the Montespejo white wine was recognised with the silver medal.

For this sixth edition of the Frankfurt International Trophy, which took place on April 8 and 9, a total of 460 tasters gathered in the historic Frankfurt Palmengarten hall. The wines and beers were evaluated by a panel of experts, such as sommeliers and oenologists, as well as informed amateurs representing the tastes of future consumers.

Nearly 4,100 wines, beers, and spirits were examined at the same time. The organisation is proud of the results: despite fears stemming from the poor harvests in 2021 and the pandemic in general, competition continued to grow powerfully. In all, 1,309 wines, beers, and spirits received one of the prestigious medals.

The director of SCAAVO, Germán Luna, said, “We are very pleased to have received these three medals at the Frankfurt International Trophy.” This recognition yet again highlights the great work being done at both Bodegas Carpe Diem in particular and the Cooperative at large.
